2025 Tree Sale

The annual VBCD Tree Sale opens January 1, 2025! We are excited to once again provide you with quality, affordable seedlings while reforesting our community and supporting local conservation!

Why shop at the VBCD Tree Sale?
We are able to provide our community with quality, affordable seedlings that we otherwise could not purchase locally. By buying in bulk and bringing choices to you, we save our community time and money.

We specially pick which seedlings to sell in our Tree Sale. We choose quality seedlings that are native, climate hardy, and full of benefits for you and the environment!

For free, we have species, habitat, and gardening specialists on staff to help you choose the right species for your needs.

Know that your support goes to a good cause. Funds raised to go to conservation education and efforts in our community. When you see our events and programs, you see your support in action! You even will see libraries and schools with our donated seedlings.

What we provide
We provide a wide variety of tree and shrub seedlings to meet your needs. The bonus is they are all great for our environment and wildlife!

  • Flowering and ornamental species
  • Nut and fruit-producing species
  • Species to block wind
  • Shade tree species
  • High value lumber species
  • Species for erosion control
  • More!

Check out species descriptions within our shop for height, spread, and more!

Check out our accessories, too! Show you support local conservation and our community! We have tree flags, bags, and more!

If you would like to support local conservation, we also accept donations. Your gift, in any amount, goes to the stewardship of our water, land, and air.

How does it work?
Browse our online shop or use our order form to select seedlings and other items. Seedlings come in bundles of 5, 10, 25, and (for select species) 50 individual seedlings.

Submit your pre-order by March 31, 2025.

Order pick-up and day-of sale days are April 10, 11, and 12, 2025 at two locations. When you submit your pre-order you choose one of two locations – the VBCD office in Paw Paw (1035 E Michigan Ave.) or the Liberty Hyde Bailey Museum in South Haven (903 S Bailey Ave.). On any of these dates, you may pick up your pre-order and browse our leftover stock to buy.

Orders are treated on a first come, first serve basis. Supplies are limited. Order fulfillment is based on nursery supply availability, which may be affected by winter weather and other growing conditions. If you have any questions, please contact us!

Questions?
If you have any questions about ordering, donations, which seedling species to choose, how these funds support local conservation, or anything else; contact Outreach Coordinator Jacob Diljak by emailing Outreach@VanBurenCD.org or call/text 269-633-9052.

Fun fact: We sold and donated 19,400 seedlings in 2024. Together we ‘built a forest’ about the size of Three Mile Lake!
