Discover with the District events offer you ways to connect with our outdoors, wildlife, and resources. Van Buren Conservation District (VBCD) staff, the folks working with our resources locally, may lead the events but we all contribute to the fun and sharing about the great outdoors.

These events are free and open to the public. Registration may be required and is listed in the event details. See our statements below the registration link for questions, help, accessibility, and more.

Events like these are made possible through you! In 2016, voters approved the VBCD Programs Millage which allows us to bring fun, educational events to our community.

Check out our events below. We add events throughout the year, so stay up-to-date with our newsletter or come back to this webpage.

Kal-Haven Trail - March 21

We are partnering with the Van Buren District Library Bloomingdale Branch and the Friends of the Kal-Haven Trail to hold a fun, engaging event in Bloomingdale!

Join us as we discuss plants, animals, and more. We’ll learn about our local nature then interact with it. And what better place to interact with our local plants and wildlife than the Kal-Haven State Trail!

Pre-registration is encouraged. See our contact information and accessibility statements at the bottom of this webpage.
