The Van Buren Conservation District is excited to announce our Naturalist Events with our partners. Join our naturalist during hikes and paddles! Learn about the world around you- plants, animals, insect, environments, and so much more. Ask questions, learn interest facts, and bask in the grandeur of the natural world about you. Check out our three Naturalist Events happening this summer:
- 18 July 2023 (25 July rain date) | Naturalist Hike | 10:30 AM – 12:00 PM | Van Buren District Library, Gobles Branch | 105 East Main Street, Gobles, MI 49055
- 2 August 2023 (16 August rain date) | Naturalist Hike | 10:30 AM – 12:00 PM | Ross Coastal Plain Marsh Preserve | CO Rd 376, Covert, MI 49043
- 22 August 2023 (29 August rain date) | Naturalist Paddle | 5:30 VanAuken Lake public access off of 65th Street in Bangor, south of 42nd Avenue
Registration is required and minors need a guardian present during the event. Paddling events are bring your own equipment. Hiking events may occur on uneven terrain so proper footwear is recommended. Because of the outdoor setting of these events, bug spray, proper clothing and equipment are encouraged.
