Van Buren Conservation District

Van Buren County Recycling Collection Events

Collections are free to all Van Buren County residents, landowners, schools, and municipalities. The collections are not open to businesses (except the large tire collections). To show you’re eligible for free drop-off, please bring your ID or tax bill with a Van Buren address to collections.

Tires must be RSVP’d to be accepted.

Important to Keep in Mind

  • Bring a valid ID to show you are a Van Buren County resident or landowner and therefore eligible for the free services.
  • Only 10 tires per resident address will be accepted per collection.
  • To bring tires to collection events, you must fill out the RSVP form above at least two days before event day.
  • Call the office with any questions about what forms of household hazardous waste will be accepted.
  • Used, non-contaminated motor oil will NOT be accepted at collection events; click here for oil disposal opportunities.
  • Latex oil will no longer be accepted at Recycle Roundup collections due to a vendor change. Latex paint can be left in the sun to dry out or can have kitty litter added to it to dry it out. Then, dried out latex paint can be put in regular (landfill) garbage. Click here for more paint disposal information.
