Description
Description | This set of seven Michigan native wildflowers ranging from 2 to 4 ft. will provide a splash of color and pollinator resources to your landscape. Partridge pea is an annual legume that will provide quick color and nectar in the first season. The other perennials will take longer to establish but will provide diverse blooms times and colors for many years as they persist and self-seed. Plant on their own or combine with a low growing grass like little bluestem to mimic a simple prairie. Wildflowers: butterfly milkweed (Asclepias tuberosa), partridge pea (Cassia fasciculata), lance-leaf coreopsis (Coreopsis lanceolata), purple prairie clover (Dalea purpurea), purple coneflower (Echinacea purpurea), wild bergamot (Monarda fistulosa), black-eyed susan (Rudbeckia hirta). | ||
